Loving All Things Druzy

 For me right now it’s all about the Druzy; it’s become a little bit of a jewellery obsession of late. In jewellery terms this is a good obsession as Druzy’s aren’t nearly as expensive as they look!  My current favourite from the sixforgold collection would have to be the Blue Chalcedony Druzy ring. Surrounded by sparkly black Ilume crystals this ring screams luxury without the scary price tag! Lately I’ve found that when I am wearing Druzy people often ask me what the stone is so I thought a little blog about this much loved sugar crystal gem was in order…

Technically speaking Druzy or ( Druze, Druse or Drusy) is the glittering effect of tiny quartz crystals that form within or on the surface of other stones over millions of years. While they look sparkly and delicate they are actually really durable gems. Druzy is 100% natural and each piece will vary making every piece of Druzy jewellery unique. You can find in a range of colours and there is something really quite special about the way this tactile gem catches the light.

Many believe that Druzy amplifies the body’s natural healing properties and strengthens the spirit. It is also believed to help people avoid depression and unnatural feelings of dread and fear. All that with a side of sugar crystal sparkle is why I’m just a little bit obsessed with this gem!
