15 Questions Sarah Parham from SVP Jewellery

I get inspiration from my upbringing. I grew up in Lagos, Nigeria and love the culture, sights, sounds and colours of that country. I also have a very sweet tooth hence the names for two of our collections- Bonbon and Sherbet Pip.

The clothing item I wear most is jeans – I love them especially MIH as they are just so comfy. I hardly wear colour apart from my jewellery and have a mild addiction to Isabel Marant.

My guilty pleasure is chocolate lots of it, good French wine and tomato ketchup – yup, I have never grown out of it!

The gadget I can’t live without is my phone, I am on the go the whole time – it’s the office in my hand.

If you snooped in my handbag you’d always find Margot’s handbag. I have a pancreatic chocolate Labrador and she can only have one sort of food, so she has a small Anya Hindmarch bag that fits in my bag full of biscuits that she can eat for when we are in meetings together.

My favourite city for shopping is Mumbai. It’s got some amazing designers and there are so many interesting boutiques to explore.

My favourite drink is jasmine tea – I drink gallons of it every day.

My biggest style tip is to be yourself and know what suits you. It’s not about fashion it’s about you.

The first thing I do when I wake up is give Margot a treat from her little handbag

My essential jewellery item is my rings – they are like my armour, I feel naked without them on.

My beauty must have is ByTerry Cellularose Brightening CC Lumi-Seru. It gives the perfect healthy glow to your skin even when you feel shattered.

If you look in my fridge you’ll always find a ton of vegetables and almond milk.

My favourite thing about being a designer is the creative freedom you have. It’s all I have ever known, I have been working since I was 19.

My all-time favourite designer is Yves Saint Laurant – he is probably the most celebrated and influential designer of our time. He is as relevant today as he was in the 1950’s.

My favourite holiday destination is France, always in the hills above Nice, it has everything, a great city to explore below, perfect wine and the peace of the mountains with stunning views. It’s a very special country.
